Noida Metro Extension: To reduce traffic jam on Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, a plan has been prepared to build a new metro corridor and two elevated roads from Sector-142 to Botanical Garden.
Botanical Garden Metro: Every day lakhs of people spend long hours in traffic jams on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. Now a big infrastructure plan has been prepared to solve this problem. Under the proposed plan, a new metro corridor will be developed from Sector-142 to Botanical Garden. Along with this, two elevated roads will also be built on both sides of the expressway. The objective of this project is to reduce traffic pressure, strengthen public transport and give a new impetus to the connectivity of the city.
New metro corridor will be built along the expressway
According to officials, the new metro line will be developed along the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway instead of being taken within residential areas. With this, IT parks, corporate offices, educational institutions and business centers will be directly connected to the metro network. A total of eight elevated stations are proposed in this 11.56 kilometer long metro extension. This will provide fast, safe and convenient travel option to working people, students and daily commuters. Experts believe that developing metro along with expressways can also reduce dependence on private vehicles.

Elevated roads will separate local and long distance traffic
Another important part of the project is the elevated roads to be built on both sides of the expressway. According to officials, their objective is to separate the movement of local traffic and long distance vehicles, which will reduce the pressure of vehicles on the main expressway and make the travel more convenient. This scheme is expected to improve the connectivity of many surrounding areas including Sector-44, 93, 97, 105, 108 and 142. Improvement in traffic management will reduce travel time and can also provide relief from traffic jams during peak hours.
Botanical Garden will become the biggest connectivity hub
The most important link of this project will be the Botanical Garden Station. Here passengers will get direct interchange with the Blue and Magenta lines of Delhi Metro. This will make travel between Noida, Greater Noida and Delhi easier and faster than before. Urban development officials believe that after the completion of the metro corridor and elevated road projects, there will be a significant reduction in traffic jams on the expressway. Besides, better access to the rapidly developing commercial, industrial and IT sectors will also give a new boost to the economic activities of the region.
