Kane Williamson will not be a part of the New Zealand team even in the Mumbai Test against India. Earlier there were reports that Kane, who was trying to recover from injury, would come to India in the middle of the Test series. But, as the series progressed and the Kiwi team kept registering victories, along with it, Kane Williamson’s visit to India also kept getting postponed. Now when the third and last Test of the series is to be played between India and New Zealand in Mumbai, once again New Zealand Cricket issued a statement and gave an update on Kane Williamson.
Kane Williamson will not come to India
New Zealand Cricket wrote on its social media handle Blackcaps that Kane Williamson will not tour India for the Test to be played in Mumbai. Also wrote that we hope that Kane will now be fit for the 3 test match series against England.

Did not come to India due to groin injury
Kane Williamson was out of India tour due to groin injury. He suffered this injury during the Test series in Sri Lanka. Earlier there were speculations that Kane Williamson would come to India and join the team for the beach series. But, now he is not coming to India even for the third and last test. The Kiwi team winning the series could also be the reason behind New Zealand Cricket’s decision not to send Kane Williamson to India.
Series from England from 28th November
The test series between New Zealand and England is to start from 28th November. According to the team’s head coach Gary Stead, Williamson is recovering rapidly. And, there is every possibility that he will be fit till the series against England. The first Test between England and New Zealand will be played in Christchurch.
New Zealand has taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the 3-Test series against India. Meaning he has taken control of the series. Now the third and last test is in Mumbai from November 1, in which the Kiwi team can enter with the intention of a clean sweep.
