Chinese supercomputer Tianhe has been built by the National University of Defense Technology (NUDT). It has topped the Green Graph500 list. This is the second time since 2021, when Tianhe supercomputer has topped this list. In this list, the world’s most powerful big data processing system i.e. supercomputer is ranked.

The Green Graph500 list, launched in 2010, measures performance-per-watt for processing large graphs. This list compares the energy efficiency of the fastest supercomputers handling data-intensive tasks.
In this ranking, China’s Tianhe Exa-Node prototype scored the best score of 6,320 MTEPS/W (Million Traverse Edges per Watt per Second), which is a measurement of the system’s efficiency in internal data communication.
Tianhe Xingyi Supercomputer
Tianhe surpassed its previous model and the University of Pennsylvania’s Eniad in artificial intelligence (AI) supercomputer scores. In 2023, the Chinese National Supercomputing Center in Guangzhou introduced a supercomputer named Tianhe Xingyi made in China. Although its specifications have not been disclosed.
