After this the police took the accused into custody and interrogated him. During this time, everyone was surprised to hear the reason given by him for the incident. Told that three days ago Rs 200 were stolen from his pocket. To compensate for this amount, he stole a neighbour’s goat, but was caught before selling it.
At present, the police has started action against the accused on the charges of goat theft. A separate case is being registered against the people who assaulted him. The matter is of Hinguvapur village of Hariyawan police station area of Hardoi district. According to the police, the accused has been identified as Ziddi, living in this village. The village people had caught the accused Ziddi red handed while stealing a goat on Sunday afternoon. At that time the police beat the accused badly and finally called the police and handed him over.
200 rupees were stolen three days ago
The police took the accused into custody and interrogated him strictly. During this, the accused told that he used to work hard to feed himself and his family. Three days ago, he came home from work and hung his pants on the peg. At that time 200 rupees were kept in the pants. After some time he checked his pants and found that the money was missing. After this, to compensate for his loss, he planned to steal and sell the goat of a villager and seeing the opportunity, he picked up the goat grazing in the field.
Police engaged in investigation of the case
By chance, he was noticed by the villagers and then they beat him severely and held him hostage. Then information about the matter was given to the police. According to Hardoi Additional Superintendent of Police Martand Singh, a case of goat theft has come to light in Hinguvapur village.
