New Delhi [भारत]July 22 (ANI): Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday reached the protest site at Jantar Mantar where CJP is continuing its protest against the NEET-UG paper leak. Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has intensified its protest against the Center over the alleged NEET paper leak.
Pawar and Sule also reached Jantar Mantar
On Tuesday, Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) chief Sharad Pawar and MP Supriya Sule reached the protest site at Jantar Mantar. NCP (SCP) has supported the demand for resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Sharad Pawar posted on Twitter, “In the backdrop of paper leak in NEET exam, students have staged a hunger strike and protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. The treatment meted out to students who fought for their just demands yesterday is not worthy of democratic values. Today, I visited the protest site, met students, learned about those injured during the agitation, and also learned about their demands in detail.”
Congress’s uproar, Rahul-Priyanka taken into custody
Congress MPs Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi were released from custody along with several other leaders after Delhi Police cracked down on the party’s protest at Lok Kalyan Marg demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Rahul Gandhi, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and several opposition leaders left the Chhatrasal Stadium, where they were detained by the police.
Congress Parliamentary Party President Sonia Gandhi reached Mandir Marg police station, where Priyanka Gandhi was kept in custody. Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, KC Venugopal and Pawan Kheda protested at Lok Kalyan Marg. Kerala Chief Minister VD Satheesan and Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar also joined the protest.
The entire ruckus happened after the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) ‘Sansad Chalo’ protest on Monday, which was cracked down on by the police in Central Delhi. (ANI)
