New Delhi: Actor Parvathy Thiruvothu has thrown her weight behind Nayanthara after the Tamil superstar’s explosive open letter against Dhanush went viral.
Taking to Instagram Stories, Parvathy used a ‘salute’ emoji while tagging the actress, signalling her solidarity with the Jawan star’s bold move.
Nayanthara, 39, often hailed as Tamil cinema’s ‘Lady Superstar,’ accused Dhanush, 41, of blocking content from their 2015 hit film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan from being used in her Netflix documentary, Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale. In a fiery note, the actress alleged that Dhanush’s actions stemmed from a personal grudge against her and her partner, filmmaker Vignesh Shivan.
Nayanthara’s open letter to Dhanush
‘It hurts that this decision of yours is only to vent out your personal grudge against us,’ Nayanthara wrote, adding, ‘I wish you were half the person you portray to be on stage in audio launches in front of your innocent fans. Clearly, you do not practice what you preach.’ She didn’t hold back, calling Dhanush a “tyrant” and accusing him of being “small-hearted.”

Nayanthara-Dhanush movie
So far, Dhanush and his team have remained tight-lipped on the matter. For the uninitiated, the film in question-Naanum Rowdy Dhaan-is a 2015 Tamil-language film that starred Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in lead roles. It was directed by Nayanthara’s now-husband Vignesh Shivan and produced by Dhanush.
