Nashik: Rumor and mob pelted stones at night, bulldozer at the dargah in the morning- VIDEO

There has been a dispute over the construction of the dargah in Nashik, Maharashtra. There was a ruckus about this on Tuesday night. There was an incident of stone pelting at night in the city’s Katta Gali area, in which 31 policemen were injured. 57 suspected motorcycles have been seized. The police have arrested 15 people. It is said that due to the rumor spread about the dargah, the crowd erupted, after which the crowd threw stones by taking advantage of the power cut.

At the time when there was a ruckus, the number of crowd was more than 400 and 500 policemen were deployed at night. The Municipal Corporation sent a notice to the dargah on 1 April on the order of the court. In which it was said that illegal construction should be removed in the dargah itself, otherwise action will be taken. Action is being taken by the Municipal Corporation to remove illegal construction today. A heavy police force is deployed on the spot.

Police left tear gas

Police used tear gas to control the crowd. After which the crowd dispersed. It is being told that after the notice of the municipal corporation, a team had reached to remove the illegal construction at the dargah. Meanwhile, the rumor spread that the dargah is being demolished. On this, the crowd became furious and threw stones. In the incident of stone pelting by the mob, 31 policemen, including 2 Assistant Police Commissioner, were injured. Out of the stone pelting crowd, 15 people have been detained by the police.

Illegal construction being demolished by bulldozers

Action is going on on illegal construction of religious site. The work of removing the encroachment has started once again in the morning. Police arrangements have been increased considerably near the dargah. Police have been deployed on all three roads around the dargah and no outsider or car is being allowed inside. The road has been barricaded by putting a police van. The Dargah Committee says that this dargah of Pir Baba is 350 years old. Whereas, Gross Hindu society has demanded to demolish it and build a Hanuman temple here.
