Cole Thomas Allen, 31, of Torrance (Calif.), was taken into custody. According to unverified social media profiles, he has worked as a mechanical engineer, computer scientist, indie game developer, and part-time teacher. As per her educational records, she studied engineering from California Institute of Technology and later did her Masters in Computer Science. In 2014, he also did a summer research fellowship at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab, which makes his background even more surprising.
