Namo India reached Sarai Kale Khan for the first time, Truel run from New Ashok Nagar

Rapid Rail Namo India, running from Meerut to Ashok Nagar in Delhi, had a trial run on Saturday night till Sarai Kale Khan. The NCRTC manually drove the Namo Bharat train from New Ashok Nagar to Sarai Kale Khan on a slow line at a slow speed. In the trial process, the compatibility of the signaling system was examined. As this test proceeds, the NCRTC track, platform screen door (PSD) and overhead power supply systems will make a comprehensive evaluation to assess the integration and coordination of the train with various subcontuctions.

Soon this train is expected to have a comprehensive trial run including high-speed test. For the first time during the trial process, the Namo Bharat train crossed the Yamuna and moved forward, passing over the Barpula flyover and ring road, entered Sarai Kale Khan station. To cross the Yamuna, NCRTC has built a bridge of about 1.3 km long at 32 pillars. About 626 meters of this bridge is in the Yamuna and the remaining part is in the Khadar area on both sides. This bridge has been built parallel to the DND Yamuna bridge over the Yamuna River.

Truel on four km section

On the other hand, to reach Sarai Kale Khan station, it was also very challenging for NCRTC to construct a window above the ring road passing through heavy traffic barpula flyovers and its equivalence. The length of the section from New Ashok Nagar to Sarai Kale Khan is about 4 and a half km. On the operation of this section, the air -conditioned comfortable Namo Bharat Service from Sarai Kale Khan to Meerut will be available for passengers. Recently, overhead equipment (OHE) was charged in the section between Sarai Kale Khan from New Ashok Nagar Namo Bharat Station.

The most crowded station Kale Khan

Sarai Kale Khan Station is the starting station of Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Corridor. The work of Fasad of the station, including the construction of the roof, is in rapid progress. 12 escalators and 4 lifts have been arranged for the station’s concourse to the platform level. Apart from this, finishing work of five entry-exit structures of the station is also going on. Sarai Kale Khan Namo Bharat Station, will be one of the most crowded passenger transit centers on the corridor. Being the center of public transit mediums, a large number of people visit here daily.

Total 11 stations are currently in operation

This station will provide uninterrupted connectivity under Multi Model Integration till Delhi Metro’s Pink Line, Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station, Veer Hakikat Rai ISBT and Ring Road Bus Stand. Currently Namo Bharat Train is operated in a 55 km section from New Ashok Nagar to Meerut South in Delhi. The section includes New Ashok Nagar, Anand Vihar (Underground), Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai, Duhai Depot, Muradnagar, Modi Nagar South, Modi Nagar North and Meerut South Total 11 stations.
