Many BJP leaders including Minister of State Kapil Dev Aggarwal, former ministers Suresh Rana and Ashok Kataria, former BJP MLA Ashok Kansal, former MP Bhartendu Singh, accused in the Muzaffarnagar riots case of giving inflammatory speeches and violating prohibitory orders, appeared in the Muzaffarnagar MP-MLA court. Warrants were issued against him. He got his warrant recalled in the court. After this he was kept in judicial custody for about three hours.
All of them are accused of giving inflammatory speeches and violating prohibitory orders in Nangla Madaud Panchayat during the riots in Muzaffarnagar in 2013. A non-bailable warrant has again been issued against one of the accused, Yati Narasimhanand, priest of Dasna temple. He did not appear in the court again like before. Special Judge Devendra Faujdar has fixed the date of November 16 to frame charges against all the accused in the court and has ordered all the accused to appear in the court on this day.
Riots broke out in 2013
The court has released the accused on a bond of Rs 1 lakh each. On August 31, 2013, a Panchayat was held in Nangla Mandaur of Muzaffarnagar in which the accused gave provocative speeches in the crowd, after which riots broke out in Muzaffarnagar and Shamli. In which more than 60 people lost their lives. In this riot, houses, shops and other properties were set on fire and vandalized. More than 40 thousand people were displaced due to this riot.

Prosecution officer Neeraj Singh said that in this case, Minister of State Kapil Dev Aggarwal, former Union Minister Sanjeev Balyan, former Minister Suresh Rana, former MP Bharatendu Singh, former MLAs Umesh Malik and Ashok Kansal, VHP leader Sadhvi Prachi, Dasna Temple priest Yeti Narsimhanand. A case was registered against 20 people including. After this, the SIT investigated and filed two separate chargesheets in the court. The case is being heard by MP-MLA Court Civil Judge Senior Division Devendra Faujdar.
