The atmosphere suddenly turned violent during voting in Nawada assembly constituency of West Bengal, when a heated clash broke out between supporters of Trinamool Congress and Humayun Kabir’s party. There was heavy stone pelting between the two sides, which created chaos in the area. Police and central security forces had to take charge to control the situation. It is being told that the controversy broke out during Humayun Kabir’s visit to the area, whereas the incident of throwing a crude bomb a day earlier had already heated up the atmosphere. Amidst the tense situation, there was continuous confrontation between TMC workers and opposition supporters.
