A dead body was found on Thursday in the house of the elder daughter-in-law of Sohanlal Valmiki, Congress MLA from Parasia assembly seat in Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh. According to the police, prima facie it seems to be a case of suicide. But the deceased’s sister Ritika has alleged that this is not a case of suicide. His sister has been murdered. Ritika has demanded a proper investigation from the police in this matter. At the same time, the police has conducted the post-mortem of the body on Friday i.e. this morning.
The name of the deceased is Monica and her age is said to be 28 years. The dead body was found hanging on a noose made of saree on Thursday morning. The family members immediately removed him from the noose and took him to a private hospital in Parasia, where the doctor declared him dead after examination. As soon as information about the incident was received, the police and FSL team also immediately reached the spot. As soon as the news of daughter’s death was received, the father was in a bad state and started crying.
Deceased’s husband Aditya had gone on duty.
The three sons of Congress’s Parasia MLA Sohan Balmik live in a house located in Ward 16 of Parasia. Elder son Aditya is posted in Regional Workshop Chandameta. Aditya was married to Monica, a resident of Itarsi, about two and a half years ago. Monica had returned to her in-laws’ house from her maternal home only two days ago. Around 11 am on Thursday morning, family members saw Monica hanging. At that time, MLA Sohan Balmik was present as the chief guest at the annual function of a private school in Chandameta, while Aditya was on duty.
The body was taken out by breaking the door of the house
When Aditya came home to take tiffin at 11 in the morning, the door of his room was closed. Then with the help of his brother he broke the door and found Monica hanging inside. After this, the family members took him to a nearby private hospital, where the doctor declared him dead after examination. Chhindwara ASP Awadhesh Pratap Singh said that the spot was immediately sealed as soon as the information was received. The FSL team has taken stock of the incident site. The officer said that the real cause of death can be said only after the post-mortem report comes.
