Murder case of IRS officer’s daughter
New Delhi: The police have arrested a 19-year-old boy, Rahul, in a sensational murder case that took place in Amar Colony, south-east Delhi. Rahul was an old servant of the victim’s family. Many more dreadful acts of the accused have been exposed during police interrogation.
The case pertains to the murder of a 22-year-old daughter of a senior IRS officer, whose body was found in a suspicious condition in her own house. The girl was an engineering graduate and was preparing for UPSC exam. Initial investigation revealed that she was sexually assaulted before being murdered and then she was strangulated to death with the wire of a mobile charger.
Accused 19 year old Rahul arrested
In this case, the police has now arrested a boy named Rahul, who earlier used to work at the house of an IRS officer. He was fired from his job about a month ago. The accused Rahul is a resident of Alwar, Rajasthan and was caught from a hotel near Dwarka. He was fired from his job because he borrowed money from other employees and did not return it. After the murder, the police monitored his movements and arrested him from a local hotel.
During interrogation, more serious crimes of the accused have come to light. According to the police, he had raped a woman in his hometown Alwar just hours before killing the girl in Delhi. The victim woman had told her family in Alwar about this incident. The accused, Rahul, was a friend of the woman’s husband and they often played Ludo together. Rahul’s family had earlier lived in the victim’s house on rent, due to which both the families were acquainted.
Police said that after committing the incident of sexual assault in Alwar, the accused came to Delhi and then murdered the daughter of the IRS officer. The motive behind the murder is being investigated. Officials are also investigating whether resentment over being fired from the job could have been the reason for the murder.
When asked about the reason for the murder in Delhi, Joint Police Commissioner Vijay Kumar said, “If you are asking the motive behind this incident, then he has committed another crime in Alwar yesterday. It is a similar crime. It is possible that his mentality is that of a criminal. This will become clear during the interrogation.” He also said that being fired from the job could also be a reason, but the whole truth will come out only after investigation.
