A case like Shraddha Walker murder case has come to light in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. A girl who was in a live-in relationship was brutally murdered by her boyfriend. Then he kept the body in a suitcase and dumped it in the forest. Police said that the accused lover has been arrested. The accused had committed this murder three months ago i.e. in December 2023.
According to the information, on January 29, a woman named Shahrul had lodged a missing report of her daughter in the police station in Patel Nagar, Haridwar. He had told that his 24 year old daughter Shahnoor has been missing for the last several days. She lived in a rented room near Sanskriti Lok Colony ISBT in Dehradun itself. Police registered the case and started investigation.
No trace of the girl could be found for several days. Then the police found a suitcase in the Asharori forest in Dehradun, which was giving off a foul smell. When the police opened the suitcase, they found a decomposed body inside. It was difficult to identify the dead body. When the police got the post-mortem done, it was found that the body was not that of someone else, but of the same girl whose missing report had been lodged at Patel Nagar police station in Haridwar.
Dehradun and Haridwar police together again conducted further investigation of the case. It was revealed that this murder was committed by 23 year old Rashid. Police kept searching for Rashid. Then one day he got information that Rashid had come to his room in Sanskriti Lok Colony. The police arrested him immediately. When the interrogation started, Rashid soon broke down. He confessed his crime. Then the accused started telling the whole story.
Both lived in live-in relationship in Dehradun.
Rashid told the police that he used to do motorcycle repairing work in Bagowali. In the year 2017-18, he was identified with Shahnoor through mobile phone. Since then both were in constant contact with each other. In September 2023, he came to Dehradun to meet Shahnoor and after that both of them rented a room near Sanskriti Lok Colony ISBT and started living together.
Rashid got angry when slapped
Shahnoor had told her that she worked in a beauty parlor. But when asked for the address she would always avoid it. Shahnoor often came to the room late at night and sometimes the next morning. Due to which Rashid felt that Shahnoor was related to someone. That’s why she comes late. On December 27 also, when she came to the room at two in the morning, there was a fight between them over this matter. During the fight, Shahnoor slapped him. Due to which Rashid got angry and killed Shahnoor by strangulating him.
Withdrawn 17 thousand, bought a suitcase
The next day after the incident, he took Shahnoor’s scooter and went towards Patel Nagar Lalpul. There he also withdrew Rs 17 thousand from Shahnoor’s ATM card. After that he bought a big red colored suitcase and kept his body in the suitcase and threw it in the forest. After this, fearing being caught, he took Shahnoor’s scooter to his village Bagowali Muzaffarnagar and from there went to his sister’s house in Panipat. When he came to collect his belongings from the Dehradun room on March 30, the police arrested him.
