More than 6.39 lakh people have been examined under the Chief Minister Health Bastar Campaign. Treatment is being provided to remote areas through mobile medical units, which has provided relief to the people and increased confidence in health services.
Raipur. Health services are now rapidly reaching the dense forests, difficult hills and remote villages of Bastar division. Whereas earlier people had to travel long distances for treatment, now health department teams are reaching people directly at their homes. Chief Minister Health Bastar Campaign has awakened new hope in these areas and increased the confidence of the people.

In the first ten days of the campaign itself, health check-up of more than 6.39 lakh people has been done. A large number of patients were given free medicines and treatment on the spot, which provided immediate relief to the people. Arrangements have also been made to identify serious patients and send them to better hospitals quickly. Till now 8055 patients have been referred and provided specialist treatment.
Timely identification of major diseases. Disease Screening in Bastar
During the investigation, cases of many serious diseases have been identified. These include 1125 patients of malaria, 3245 of TB, 2803 of leprosy, 1999 of oral cancer, 1527 of sickle cell and 2496 patients of cataract. Timely identification and initiation of treatment is helping in reducing the risk of these diseases.
Mobile Medical Units and Health Camps Mobile Medical Units Bastar
The health system has been strengthened to make the campaign successful. A better coordination has been created from primary health centers to district hospitals, medical colleges and super specialty institutions. Through mobile medical units and health camps, services are also being provided to those areas where earlier there were very few treatment facilities.
Facility of Digital Health Profile (Aabha) ABHA Health ID Bastar
Digital health profiles of people i.e. ABHA are also being created. This will make treatment easier in future and complete information about the patient will be available immediately if needed. Now people in the villages of Bastar do not have to go far for treatment, rather health services are reaching their doorsteps.
