The terror of sand mafia is increasing day by day in Chambal division of Madhya Pradesh. Despite the continuous action being taken by the police, the morale of the mafia seems to be high. The situation has become such that the sand mafia is not shying away from attacking even the police. One such case has come to light from Raun police station area of ​​Bhind district. Sand mafia attacked two police stations.

The incident is said to have happened late on Tuesday night. The police beat up Machhand outpost incharge Kamal Kant Dubey due to which he suffered serious head injuries. The miscreants also tried to snatch the rifle of a constable. The police have registered a case against the accused and have started searching for the mafia.

Illegal mining was going on for a long time

According to the information received from the police, illegal mining of sand has been going on for a long time at Dohai and Tehangur Ghats under Machhand outpost of Sindh River. As soon as information about this was received, Rang police station along with Machhand outpost in-charge Kamalkant Dubey arrived to arrest the tractor trolley carrying out illegal excavation. When the police raided to arrest the accused doing illegal sand excavation, the accused left from Machhand area towards Nayagaon police station area. When the police reached near the accused while chasing them, the sand mafia attacked the police.

Search for mafia started

At the time when the sand mafia attacked, their number was high, whereas the police personnel were only 5 to 6. In the incident, miscreants also tried to snatch the rifle from constable Ajay. After the incident, Raun, Machand and Umri police stations have become active. Police have started searching for the accused everywhere. The police have also made some family members of the accused sit.

While giving this information on its ‘X’ handle on Wednesday morning, MP BJP wrote, ‘Mining mafias are not well in the government of good governance. Illegal mining will be curbed in Madhya Pradesh with the help of AI technology in BJP government.
