MP: Principal bargaining at Bewafa Chai shop, arrested taking bribe

A major action was taken against corruption in Seoni district of Madhya Pradesh, where Jabalpur Lokayukta team arrested Mukesh Kumar Namdev red handed taking a bribe of Rs 10,000. This action was taken at a shop named “Bewafa Chai Wala”, which is present in the bus stand Bakhari, Tehsil Chhapara.

According to the information, complainant Dilan Singh Bisen, Pradhan Pathak, Government Secondary School Beja Deori had complained to Lokayukta Superintendent of Police Jabalpur that Mukesh Kumar Namdev has put immoral pressure on all schools. A total of 26 schools come under Public Education Center Bija Deori. It is alleged that Mukesh Namdev through his partner Kamal Shukla demanded RTI against schools and then demanded a bribe of 1000 from every primary school and 1500 from every secondary school in lieu of not giving information and not providing RTI again. In this way, the total was demanded Rs 30,000.

Demand for money from every primary-secondary school

At the same time, in the whole case, complainant Dilan Singh Bisen said that he was upset with the forced recovery from teachers. So they lodged a complaint. Mukesh Kumar Namdev has put immoral pressure on all schools. A total of 26 schools come under Public Education Center Bija Deori. It is alleged that Mukesh Namdev through his partner Kamal Shukla put RTI against schools and then demanded bribe from every primary school and from every secondary school in lieu of not giving information and not providing RTI again.

Lokayukta team planned trap

In the whole case, Lokayukta Inspector Rekha Prajapati says that the Lokayukta team is working on the policy of zero tolerance against corruption and similar action will continue. After the complaint was verified, the Lokayukta team planned the trap on 4 April. Mukesh Kumar Namdev was caught red handed taking a bribe of Rs 10,000. A case has been registered against him. The team took action with planning and exposed the accused.
