Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav launched the ‘Nashe se doori hai zuri 2.0’ campaign in Bhopal. The government gave the message of zero tolerance, awareness and strict action against drugs.
Bhopal. On July 14, a big step was taken towards creating a drug-free society in Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav launched the public awareness campaign ‘Nashe se doori hai zuri 2.0’ organized at Ravindra Bhawan, Bhopal. During this, he also released the public awareness material related to de-addiction prepared by the Higher Education Department and School Education Department and the campaign poster of the Home Ministry.
A short film motivating people to quit drug addiction was also screened in the programme. The special thing is that the officers and employees of the police department themselves have acted in this film. The Chief Minister said that the State Government is working on a policy of zero tolerance against drugs and the strictest action will be taken against those involved in this illegal trade.
MP Anti Drug Campaign: Making society aware is the biggest responsibility
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that many tasks in life are a part of daily routine, but the work that brings positive change in the society gives the most satisfaction. Praising the police department for this public awareness campaign, he said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, many big campaigns are being run across the country and de-addiction is also included in those important campaigns. He said that to save the society from drugs, not only laws but also public participation and awareness are equally important.
CM Mohan Yadav: Also mentioned about ending Naxalism
Referring to the security arrangements of the state in his address, the Chief Minister said that at one time there were serious challenges like crime, dacoit and Naxalism in Madhya Pradesh and its surrounding areas. Today Chambal area is largely free from crimes. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah had set a deadline to end Naxalism. It is a matter of satisfaction that Madhya Pradesh was the first to completely eliminate Naxalism from its place. Now “Lal Salaam” is being called “Aakhri Salaam” all over the country.
Drug Free MP: Action underway in collaboration with neighboring states
The Chief Minister said that the opening of promotion avenues in the police department has boosted the morale of the employees and the government stands with them with full strength. He said that drug addiction affects not only an individual but the entire family. Therefore, the government along with the police department is continuously running a campaign against this evil. He said that the state government is taking effective action against the illegal drug trade by coordinating with the neighboring states. The process of taking strict steps against organized gangs will continue.
Zero Tolerance Policy: Awareness campaign will be run in schools and colleges also
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah has set the target of making India drug free by the year 2029. Keeping this goal in mind, Madhya Pradesh Police is continuously organizing awareness programs in schools and colleges. He said that efforts are being made to give a new life to the drug addicts through facilities like helpline, counseling and rehabilitation. The government wants that such action should be taken against drug addiction, which becomes an example for the entire society. The Chief Minister also informed that courses related to drug de-addiction have also been started in schools and colleges. At the end of the program, he also administered oath to the present citizens to make Madhya Pradesh drug free.
MP Police Action: Special campaign will run from 15th to 30th July
Social Justice and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Minister Narayan Singh Kushwaha said that the department is continuously working to fulfill Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolve of a drug-free India. Extensive public awareness programs are being organized in schools and colleges, connecting every section of the society.
Special Director General of Police Pankaj Kumar Srivastava said that ‘Nashe se doori hai zuri 2.0’ campaign will be run in the entire Madhya Pradesh from July 15 to July 30. He said that Madhya Pradesh Police is continuously taking action against MD and other narcotics. In the coming times, a more strict campaign will be launched against organized gangs.
