Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said in the Narmada Thinking Seminar that Madhya Pradesh is among the leading states of the country in the works of water conservation and water harvesting. The work of conservation of water sources and public awareness is being done rapidly through Jal Ganga Augmentation Campaign.
Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that common people are also actively participating with the government regarding water conservation and better use of water in Madhya Pradesh. This is the reason why Madhya Pradesh has been included among the leading states of the country in the water conservation and mass harvesting works run by the Central Government. He said that organizations like Narmada Mission are doing important work to make people aware about saving water. The Chief Minister said that all the government departments of the state are continuously working together for the conservation and revitalization of water sources.
CM Mohan Yadav’s address at Narmada Chintan Seminar
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav was addressing the Narmada Chintan Intellectual Seminar organized at Rabindra Bhawan in Bhopal on Friday. Dada Guru Bhagwan guided the people present in the program through his discourses. During this, the Chief Minister and Dada Guru also released the book “Samarth Drishti: Peak of Sadhana” written by Smit Aparajita. In the programme, people who have done excellent work in the field of social service and public welfare were honored with “Samarth Narmada Alankaran”.
Emphasis on conservation of water sources through Jal Ganga Enhancement Campaign
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the work of conservation and revitalization of wells, stepwells, ponds, canals and other traditional water sources is going on at a fast pace in the state. He said that the Jal Ganga Enhancement Campaign, which started from Gudi Padwa, will continue till June 30. He said that the aim of this long campaign is to make water structures useful again and to increase awareness about water conservation among the people. The Chief Minister said that this campaign is getting wide public support across the state and various social and cultural programs are also being organized with the cooperation of the government and administration.
Work on Prime Minister Modi’s vision of development and heritage conservation
The Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh is seriously implementing the message of development and heritage conservation given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Along with development work, the state government is also paying special attention to the conservation of natural resources and cultural heritage.
Panchayat department is working at river origin places
Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Prahlad Patel said that the department is continuously working towards preserving the source places of the rivers of the state and keeping them useful. He said that the participation of the general public in these efforts is also commendable.
Society and government need to come together for environmental protection
Senior nationalist thinker Gopal Arya said that nature conservation has had special importance in the tradition of India. Giving the example of Amrita Devi, he said that there have been people in our country who even sacrificed their lives to protect trees. He said that when government and society work together, better results emerge.
Dada Guru said- Rivers are the symbol of our power.
In the programme, Dada Guru said that Indian culture has given philosophy of life to the whole world. He said that nature is continuously giving the message that we should work together for environmental protection. Describing rivers like Ganga, Yamuna and Narmada as the strength of the country, he said that Narmada Path is not only a journey but also a path of personality building. Dada Guru appreciated the ongoing Jal Ganga Augmentation Campaign in Madhya Pradesh.
Emphasis on conservation of water structures with public cooperation
Padmashree Mohan Nagar, Vice President of Madhya Pradesh Jan Abhiyaan Parishad, gave information about the water conservation works being done through public participation in the state. The program started with the welcome of the guests. Child painter Vikram Lodhi presented a picture of Mother Narmada to Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. An exhibition related to organic products and environmental protection was also organized at the venue, which was visited by the Chief Minister and other guests.
