Minister Prahlad Patel gave important instructions in the review meeting of Madhya Pradesh Livelihood Mission regarding equal pay for equal work, skill training, digital monitoring and Jal Ganga Augmentation Campaign. Emphasis was also laid on skill development of women and youth.

Panchayat and Rural Development and Labor Minister Prahlad Singh Patel reviewed the progress of various schemes and programs by holding a meeting of the Governing Body of Madhya Pradesh State Livelihood Mission Forum in the Ministry. In the meeting, the compliance report of the decisions taken in the previous meeting was discussed in detail.
Minister Prahlad Patel gave important instructions regarding the HR manual of contractual employees working under the Livelihood Mission. He said that the system of “equal pay for equal work” should be ensured in the department. Besides, rationalization of posts should also be done as per need so that the working system can become more effective.
Equal Pay Policy MP: Instructions to implement equal pay for equal work
In the meeting, Minister Shri Patel laid special emphasis on strengthening financial management. He asked the officials to ensure adequate budget provision for better implementation of the schemes and efforts should be made to reduce the financial liabilities of the department. He said that proper utilization of resources and transparent financial system are very important for the success of the schemes.
Appreciation of FRA Land Diversion Portal and Mobile App
During the meeting, the Minister appreciated the new digital system ‘FRA Land Diversion’ web portal and mobile app related to permission for use of forest land. He said that through this digital platform, Scheduled Tribe farmers and laborers living in forest areas will get the benefit of convenient, transparent and fast process. The Minister said that with this new system, the processes related to use of forest land for public utility facilities will be easier and more effective than before.
MP Skill Training News: Skill training through video conferencing in livelihood libraries
Minister Prahlad Patel also reviewed 85 livelihood libraries operating in 52 districts of the state. He directed that skill training programs should be conducted in these centers through video conferencing (VC). He stressed on providing training in English language and other employable skills to make women self-reliant. The Minister said that modern skills should be taught to women and youth through centralized video conferencing system so that better employment opportunities can be available.
Focus on Deendayal Upadhyay Rural Skill Development Scheme 2.0
In the meeting, there was discussion on providing training as per the needs of the current market under Deendayal Upadhyay Rural Skill Development Scheme 2.0. Minister Shri Patel instructed the officials that new projects should be evaluated on the basis of skill gap analysis and a new tender process should be started accordingly. He said that the youth should be given only that training which is in real demand in the current employment market.
Digital Monitoring MP: Instructions for digital monitoring of fund flow
Minister Prahlad Patel directed to publicize the success stories of the schemes widely through booklets, flex and short films. Apart from this, he asked to complete the construction work of the portal being prepared for digital monitoring of fund flow through MPSEDC soon. He said that digital monitoring will improve the transparency and efficiency of the schemes.
Jal Ganga Sanvardhan Abhiyan: Emphasis on renovation of old ponds
Jal Ganga Augmentation Campaign was also reviewed in the meeting. Minister Shri Patel instructed the officials that the work of reconstruction and renovation of old ponds should be completed expeditiously. He said that a list of ponds having an area of more than 5 hectares should be prepared and the incomplete works should be completed as per requirement. Also asked to prepare an action plan in advance for the construction works to be done under the Bharat-Ji-Ram-Ji scheme developed from July 1.
Instructions to provide benefits of the scheme to displaced families
The Minister told the officials that special care should be taken of the families displaced due to development works and it should be ensured that they get full benefits of the schemes. Many senior officials including the Additional Chief Secretary were present in the meeting.
