While reviewing the development plans, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on August 15 gave instructions for social audit of the development works of the districts and new arrangements.

Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav held a review meeting of the Planning, Economic and Statistics Department on June 22. In the meeting, he directed that during the programs to be organized in the district headquarters on Independence Day, August 15, the ministers in-charge of the respective districts should present detailed information about the achievements of development works and public welfare schemes to the public.

The Chief Minister said that exhibitions related to development projects and various schemes will also be organized at the venue, so that common citizens can get information about the achievements of the government. He said that this process will also act as a social audit of the development works.

District Development Committee Conference: Big event to be held in Bhopal

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state level conference of District Development Committees will be organized in the capital Bhopal. He called upon the committees to play an active role in government schemes for development activities. He said that District Development Committees should also make special efforts to promote private investment in their areas. This will strengthen employment and economic activities at the local level.

Emphasis on CCTV and eco-friendly construction in Assembly Constituency Development Plan

While reviewing the Assembly Constituency Development Plan in the meeting, the Chief Minister stressed the need to install CCTV cameras in public places. Instructions were also given to promote the use of eco-friendly building materials in affordable housing schemes. He directed the department to integrate the statistical data related to all the departments, divisions and districts of the state and make it available on a single digital platform, so that data-based decision making becomes easier.

Registration facility for death certificate will be available at Vishram Ghat only.

While reviewing the works being done under the Madhya Pradesh Assembly Constituency Development Scheme, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that effective arrangements for maintenance of development works should also be ensured. He directed to develop a system to encourage individuals and institutions doing better work and innovation under the scheme.

During the review of birth and death registration system, the Chief Minister said that an action plan should be prepared to provide the facility of death registration at Vishram Ghat itself. This will make it easier for people in rural and small towns to obtain death certificates and unnecessary running around will be reduced.

District development index will be decided according to local needs

The Chief Minister said that the development indices of the districts should not be uniform, but should be decided keeping in mind the local conditions and needs. He said that separate development standards should be prepared for industrial areas, agricultural districts and areas rich in forest wealth. With this, development plans can be made according to the actual needs of each district.

Natural farming and rural housing construction will get a boost

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav directed to take necessary steps to encourage natural farming. He said that technical guidance should be provided to people building their own houses in rural areas. Along with this, effective system should also be developed to make people aware about the use of appropriate and quality building materials.

Active participation of committees in Jal Ganga Enhancement Campaign

It was informed in the meeting that till now more than one lakh 37 thousand students have benefited under the Chief Minister’s Community Leadership Capacity Development Programme. It was told that in Jal Ganga Augmentation Abhiyan, Prasputan and Navankur committees have taken active participation in programs like cleaning of wells, stepwells, ponds and river ghats, water seminars and Stepwell Utsav.

Acceleration in the registration campaign of liberated and nomadic families

It was also informed in the meeting that under the identification and registration campaign of free-ranging, nomadic and semi-nomadic families, data of more than 25 thousand families has so far been registered on the portal. Apart from this, training programs for officers and employees are also being conducted continuously under Mission Karmayogi in the state, so that administrative efficiency can be promoted.
