On July 5, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will lay the foundation stone of the Defense Manufacturing Plant to be built in Shivpuri at a cost of Rs 2,500 crore. This will boost employment and MSME.
Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will lay the foundation stone of the state-of-the-art defense manufacturing plant to be set up by Adani Group in Shivpuri district on July 5. This plant, to be built at a cost of about Rs 2,500 crore, will give new strength to the defense sector along with the industrial development of the state. Union Minister of Communications and North Eastern Region Development Jyotiraditya Scindia will also be present on this occasion.
Make in India and Self-reliant India campaign will get new strength
This defense manufacturing project will play an important role in furthering the objective of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ and ‘Make in India’ campaign. This plant, being developed with state-of-the-art technology, will not only increase the defense production capacity in the country but will also encourage indigenous manufacturing.
Development works worth Rs 211.29 crore will be inaugurated and bhoomi pujan will be done
During the Shivpuri visit, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia will also inaugurate and do Bhoomi Pujan of various development works prepared and proposed at a cost of Rs 211.29 crore in the district. These projects are expected to expand the infrastructure in the area and give new momentum to the development work.
Defense Manufacturing Plant will increase employment and MSMEs will benefit.
The establishment of the defense manufacturing plant will create a large number of direct and indirect employment opportunities in the region. Along with providing employment to the local youth, small and medium industries (MSMEs) will also get the opportunity to become a part of the supply chain related to defense production. This will provide new business opportunities to local industries and will also boost the economic activities of the area.
