In a program organized in Jabalpur, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Supreme Court Chief Justice Surya Kant launched the new digital platform of Madhya Pradesh High Court. This will make the justice process faster, transparent and easier for the citizens.
Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav participated in the program ‘Fragmentation of Fusion: Empowering Justice through United Digital Platform Integration’ organized at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Culture and Information Center in Jabalpur on 16 May. On this occasion, he said that India’s judicial tradition has been associated with ideal rulers like Emperor Vikramaditya, whose transparent and just system inspires even today.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav mentioned the good governance of Emperor Vikramaditya
Referring to the Indian knowledge tradition and the justice system of ancient India, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Emperor Vikramaditya always ruled justly in the interest of the people. He said that in the present time technology has become the most effective medium to make the justice system simple and transparent. The judicial system plays an important role in maintaining order in India, the world’s largest democracy.
Appreciation of digital innovations of Madhya Pradesh High Court
The Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh High Court has made the justice process easier through technological innovations. Arrangements like mobile application, digital certification of court orders, quick disposal of files and digital management have been implemented in the state for deaf and dumb citizens. He informed that the state government has started many digital services including Cyber Tehsil and e-file system has also been implemented in the meetings of the Council of Ministers.
Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal said – the country is changing rapidly
Union Law and Justice Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal said that this is a historic day in the justice system of the country. He said that Madhya Pradesh is moving rapidly in the direction of ease of living and ease of justice. CCTNS, applications for the deaf and dumb and AI based technology are strengthening the justice system. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is continuously moving forward in the direction of transform, reform and perform.
Supreme Court Chief Justice Surya Kant said technological integration is necessary
Supreme Court Chief Justice Surya Kant said that just as many small rivers together form the huge form of Mother Narmada, similarly the integration of court, police, jail, forensic and medico-legal systems will strengthen the justice process. He said that now the time has come that the judiciary should also move towards providing 24X7 services like hospitals so that the citizens can get quick relief.
Common people will benefit from digital justice system
Chief Justice Surya Kant, while praising the Madhya Pradesh High Court and the state government, said that through the digital platform, facilities like timely release of prisoners, urgent hearing and digitalization of court orders will be easy. He said that this expansion of judicial facilities for the common people is a model that can be implemented across the country.
Big step towards simplifying judicial processes
Supreme Court Justice Alok Aradhe said that Madhya Pradesh High Court has made a new beginning in the direction of simplifying judicial procedures. Whereas Justice N. Koteshwar Singh said that this initiative will make the justice system more effective for the police, prosecution and citizens. Justice Prasanna B. Varale said that technology has made the justice process easier, but there is a need to be careful about misuse of generative AI.
Madhya Pradesh moving towards digital and paperless justice system
Supreme Court Justice Satish Chandra Sharma said that the justice system runs with the cooperation of police, jail, court and forensic departments. Better coordination between institutions has expedited the justice process. He said that Sikkim has become a state with completely digital and paperless justice system and Madhya Pradesh is also moving rapidly in the same direction.
High Court Chief Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva launches digital platform
Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court Sanjeev Sachdeva said that through the new digital platform, now the complainants will not have to wait long for the copy of the decisions. He said that this platform is an important step towards increasing transparency and speeding up the justice process.
Many new digital systems launched in the program
CLASS live streaming system launched
Madhya Pradesh High Court launches CLASS (Courtroom Live Audio-Visual Streaming System) for live video streaming. This is an OTT style digital platform, through which the High Court will have direct control over live streaming.
New High Court portal and ‘Pratham’ system launched
A new portal of the High Court was launched in the program, where court orders, bail applications and other documents will be easily available to judges, lawyers and complainants. Besides, AI based digital data management system ‘Pratham’ was also launched.
Introduction of Digital Copy System and Online Criminal Justice System
Copying Automation and Judicial Information Dissemination System was also introduced, through which certified copies of court orders would be easily available. Online criminal justice system was also launched for pre-mature prisoner release.
Sanket Vani App and Jyoti Journal 2.0 launched
In the programme, ‘Sanket Vani’ mobile app was launched for speech and hearing impaired citizens. Apart from this, ‘Jyoti Journal 2.0’ software prepared by Madhya Pradesh Judicial Academy was also launched.
A large number of judicial and administrative officers were present
Chief Secretary, Judge, Police Officer, trainees associated with Judicial Authority, local public representatives and a large number of lawyers were present in the programme.
