Jabalpur police in Madhya Pradesh has exposed a human trafficking racket. The police made this revelation while searching for a minor girl who ran away from home to meet her lover. The accused had sold this girl to a person resident of Tikam Garh for Rs 95 thousand. Police investigation has revealed that this gang has already kidnapped many girls and sold them. The police have so far arrested half a dozen people in this case. The police is searching for the remaining accused.
According to the police, the minor girl had already run away from home once before with her lover Rahul. However, at that time, on the complaint of the girl’s father, the police arrested the girl’s lover and sent him to jail. After being released from jail after two weeks, Rahul had stopped talking to the girl. In such a situation, about a month ago, on September 12, this girl again ran away from home to meet him. After reaching Bhedaghat, he called Rahul’s friend Raja, but Raja said that Rahul was scared and his phone was switched off.
The girl was sold for Rs 95 thousand
When the girl said that she could not return to her home, the accused Raja gave her shelter and handed her over to Shashi and Puran of this human trafficking gang. The victim girl told that on September 21, in the presence of Shashi and Puran, she saw a middle-aged man who had come to see her. That same night she heard Shashi talking to her husband Puran, Suraj and Raja. In this Shashi was saying that a man from Tikamgarh is ready to buy the girl. On hearing this, the girl started planning to run away, but did not succeed. Finally, the next day i.e. on 22nd September, Suraj and Raja, along with Shashi and Puran, forcibly married her to Prakash, a resident of Tikamgarh, in the village temple.
The gang has made a deal with more than 15 girls
According to the police, Prakash had bought this girl for Rs 95 thousand. The girl told the police that till now the accused have kidnapped more than 15 girls and made a deal with them. According to the victim, accused Prakash raped her 35 times while under the influence of alcohol. Meanwhile, once after raping, when the accused fell asleep, she called her father from his own phone and narrated the entire incident. After this, the girl’s father freed her with the help of the police. In this case, the police have so far arrested Prakash along with Shashi, Puran, Raja and Suraj.
