Mouni Roy Makes Cannes 2026 Comeback After Separating From Suraj Nambiar, BFF Disha Patani Cheers

Mouni Roy is in the French Riviera for the upcoming screening of her Indo-American film, Bombay Stories, at the Cannes Film Festival 2026’s Marché du Film. The actress recently announced her separation from her husband, Suraj Nambiar.   travelled to France on Monday, and later in the day, she shared stunning pictures on Instagram. Dressed in a black and white outfit, Mouni looked gorgeous. Disha Patani agreed. Reacting to her Instagram post, the Ek Villain Returns actress cheered for her best friend as she returned to the Cannes Film Festival this year.

Disha commented on Mouni’s post. She wrote, “Let’s go girl (sic)” Cheering for her, Mandira Bedi wrote, “This girl is on fire (sic)” Mouni’s caption read, “Cannes & Chaos! Bonjour x (sic).”

Disha Patani and Mouni Roy’s friendship

 and Mouni have been best friends since 2023. They joined Akshay Kumar for his grand Entertainers tour across the U.S. Sonam Bajwa, Nora Fatehi, Aparshakti Khurrana, Stebin Ben and others were also a part of it. Ever since they worked together on the tour, Disha and Mouni have been happy in each other’s company. From beach vacations to café and lunch outings, the actresses never shy away from displaying their friendship and sisterhood.

Before Mouni and   issued a statement, Disha unfollowed the latter. She has been her friend’s strongest pillar of strength. Showing support to Mouni amid the separation, Disha chose to cut off her ties with Suraj.

Mouni and Suraj issued a joint statement, announcing their separation. “We would like to state that we have decided to part ways and are taking the necessary time to address matters privately and amicably,” they wrote before addressing attempts to sensationalise their private lives by circulating ‘fictitious narratives and blatant falsehoods’.

They also added, “After thoughtful reflection on evolving personal priorities, we have mutually chosen to move forward on separate paths with respect and understanding.” Seeking privacy to navigate through the phase privately, Mouni and Suraj assured that they would cherish their friendship throughout. “We sincerely appreciate your understanding, respect for our privacy, and the continued support extended to us during this time,” they said, concluding the statement.
