According to PubMed, the study was conducted on thirty-two children aged 12-14 living in a government hostel. They were divided into four groups of 8 children each and given toothbrushes. The contamination of toothbrushes was assessed at different times. The conclusion was that cleaning the mouth is not the only way to maintain oral hygiene, but it is also important to keep the equipment used for cleaning the mouth clean.

How to clean toothbrush?

To clean it, you can soak it in mouth wash for some time, because it contains anti-bacterial compounds. Apart from this, it is better to soak it in lukewarm water for 10 minutes.
