Today on monthly Durgashtami, Brahma Muhurta was from 04 am to 06 am. According to Drik Panchang, Abhijeet Muhurta will be from 12 am to 12.55 pm. Both the auspicious times are good for worship. If you have not worshiped Goddess Durga in Brahma Muhurta, then you can do it in Abhijeet Muhurta.
Ashadh Monthly Durgashtami puja method
Wake up in the morning of monthly Durgashtami and wear clean clothes after bathing etc. Then take a pledge to fast and worship for the Goddess. After this, purify the puja room by sprinkling Ganga water. Then place a stool and spread a new red colored cloth on it. After this, place the idol or picture of Goddess Durga on the post. Then offer worship materials like red gulhad flower, red chunri, sixteen adornments and akshat etc. to the goddess.
Offer dry fruits, sweets, fruits, kheer, halwa etc. to the goddess. Light a desi ghee lamp in front of the idol of the goddess. After this recite Durga Saptashati. Chant the mantras of the goddess. Finally conclude the puja by performing Aarti.
