Right time to plant Rosemary and selection of pot
The time just before the onset of monsoon is considered to be the most suitable time for planting Rosemary. Choose an 8 to 10 inch pot, which must have drainage holes at the bottom. Due to this, water will not accumulate in the roots and the plant will grow in a healthy manner. If you are using a big pot, you can plant 2–3 plants in it.
What type of soil would be best?
Light, friable and well drained soil is best for Rosemary. For this, prepare potting mix by mixing 40% normal soil, 30% vermicompost or rotten cow dung manure, 20% sand and 10% coco peat. This mixture provides adequate nutrition and moisture to the roots, making the plant grow faster and produce more flowers.

Carefully plant the small plant brought from seeds or nursery in a pot. In the beginning, do light irrigation so that the soil settles well.
