Mohammed Shami: BCCI has announced the squad of Team India for the 5 test match series to be played with Australia. 18 players have been given a chance in Team India’s squad in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Team India has given a chance to 5 proper fast bowlers on the Australia tour.

However, after the 3-Test series against New Zealand, now Team India’s star fast bowler Mohammed Shami has not got a chance against Australia. Due to which now Shami can think about retirement and may never be seen playing in blue jersey again.

But there was hope that Shami might get a chance in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. But due to injury Shami has not got a chance. Due to which Team India and Shami have suffered a big blow. Shami has been out of Team India for a long time. Team India may miss Shami on the Australia tour.

Can retire from T20 format

Let us tell you that Mohammed Shami has not got a chance in the Test series against Australia. Whereas now it is believed that Shami may announce his retirement from T20 International format to reduce his workload.

Shami’s performance in T20 International has not been anything special. Due to which now he can announce his retirement from T20 format soon. Shami last played in T20 World Cup 2022. Since then he has not got a chance.

If we talk about the T20 International career of fast bowler Mohammed Shami, he made his debut for Team India in the year 2014. Till now he has played 23 T20 matches. In which he has taken 24 wickets.
