Stipe Miocic Announces Retirement Following UFC 309 Loss
Miocic (20-5) failed in his bid to win the heavyweight crown for a third time and immediately announced his retirement.
“I’m done,” Miocic said. “I’m hanging ’em up.”
His last fight was in front of the next president.
Stipe Miocic had an impressive record of 20 wins and only 5 losses. One of his most significant career achievements is he defeated Daniel Cormier twice in their three fights. Stipe Miocic retired as one of the most decorated champion in the history of the UFC.

Following Stipe Miocic’s retirement, UFC president Dana White showered praise on the former UFC Champion.
“He’s one of the greatest heavyweights ever. You can’t deny Stipe. Stipe is [No. 1 or No. 2] all time,” stated UFC president Dana White following Stipe’s retirement.
