Congress leader Rahul Gandhi presided over the meeting of the coordination committee of his party’s Gujarat unit on Tuesday night, in which he set the criteria for promotion of leaders within the organization and ticket distribution for elections. In the press release issued by the Congress, it was told that party general secretary KC Venugopal and in -charge of the party’s state unit Mukul Wasnik attended the meeting held at the Circuit House and all senior Congress leaders attended the state.
Rahul Gandhi reviewed the performance of the state leaders and was entrusted with the task of defeating the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the 2027 assembly elections. During this time, Rahul Gandhi clearly said that only those who perform well will get promotion, the responsibility of every senior leader will be fixed and he will be given the work accordingly.
District heads will be made ministers
Rahul Gandhi said that the leaders who fail to fulfill their responsibility will not get any post and those who will be active only during the election, they will not get the party ticket. He told the party leaders present in the meeting that the workers and leaders working among the public will be given tickets. He assured that the district heads who performed well when the party comes to power in Gujarat will be made ministers.
People will be identified by BJP
Rahul Gandhi had earlier told Congress workers in Gujarat that there is a need to exclude some people from the party who have met BJP. If we want to have a relationship with people, then we have to do two things, the first task will have to be identified by loyal and BJP supporters. If we want to remove as many people, then we should remove them. Criticizing those working for BJP, Rahul Gandhi said that you are working for BJP from inside. There is no place for you here.
Pilot project started today
Please tell that Rahul Gandhi will address party workers in Modasa in Arvalli district today and will start the pilot project to choose the district president. The Congress has been out of power in Gujarat for more than three decades. Rahul’s visit is taking place after the Congress session in Ahmedabad on 8 and 9 April. Before then, Rahul Gandhi visited the state in March.
