The competition of Miss Universe India 2026 has reached an important stage. 52 finalists participated in the gala round held in Jaipur. In this round, the confidence, personality and fashion sense of the contestants were tested. The grand finale will take place on 23 August 2026.
The Miss Universe India 2026 pageant reached a significant milestone on Friday as 52 beauties from across the country participated in the gala round with introduction and welcome ceremonies. The event was followed by a sashing ceremony, introduction walk and speech round, which brought the contestants one step closer to the coveted national title.
Many parameters tested in gala round
The Gala round is considered to be one of the most important parts of the competition, where all the finalists were seen in stunning gowns and designer outfits. During this stage, contestants are evaluated on various parameters like personality, confidence, stage presence, behaviour, communication skills and fashion sense. According to a press note, although it is not an elimination round, the participants are evaluated and scored on certain criteria, making it an important milestone in the entire competition.
During the Gala Round, the finalists also interacted with members of the media, shared their experiences and confidently answered questions about their journey in the competition.

The competition will continue with multiple evaluation rounds and will culminate with the Grand Finale, scheduled to be held in Jaipur on August 23, 2026.
