In Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, due to the stubbornness of the Maulanas, a father’s dream of his daughter’s marriage remained unfulfilled. Everyone was stunned to hear the reason for this. In fact, Maulana had already issued an order that if a DJ plays in a house during a wedding, then Maulana will not perform Nikah there. What happened was, in this wedding, when the boy’s family brought the wedding procession to the girl’s house, the DJ was playing in the wedding procession. Due to which Maulana got angry and did not get the marriage solemnized. In the end the daughter was sent away without marriage.
According to the information, this case is of Harimau village of Jagdishpur in the district, the marriage of Shabana, the daughter of a Muslim family living here, was fixed with a boy from Sindoorwa village. When the wedding procession arrived at the girl’s door, everyone in the wedding procession was expressing happiness by dancing and singing to the tune of the DJ. This very thing displeased the Maulana of the mosque and he refused to teach Nikah.
Due to this arbitrariness of Maulana, the atmosphere of happiness in the house suddenly turned into sadness and trouble. Even after a lot of persuasion, Maulana did not budge from his arbitrariness. After this, the father was forced to send his daughter away from home without marrying her. The girl’s father later accused the Maulana of arbitrariness.

In fact, about two weeks ago, the Maulana of all the mosques in the district had expressed his displeasure regarding the DJ, band and buffet system in the wedding. After this, an order was issued that if a DJ comes to a house during a wedding, then the Maulvi will not perform Nikah in that house and a fine will also be imposed on him. It was only because of this order that Maulana had refused to teach Nikah.
Maulana gave clarification
Maulana Abdul Basid, while giving clarification in this whole matter, has said that the boy’s and girl’s family had reached him only 15 days ago. Basid said that he had already warned that if a DJ came to the wedding and food was served in the buffet system, he would not attend. But, still the boys came with DJ and made fun of Shariat, hence we did not perform Nikah and left from there.
