has launched the GT2 Stradale, its race inspired supercar in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 5.71 crore. The road-legal supercar is derived from the brand’s GT2 race car, blending track-focused performance with everyday driving features. The price could also drop up to 38 per cent when the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) comes into effect. Maserati will produce only 914 GT2 Stradales worldwide. Production is restricted as a tribute to 1914, the year the Italian luxury automaker was founded. However, the company has not confirmed the number of units that will be available in India.
Maserati GT2 Stradale: Engine and Performance
The Maserati GT2 Stradale is equipped with a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 gasoline engine that produces 631 horsepower and 729 Newton meters of torque. This is 9.8 horsepower greater than the GT2, which is only for racing on tracks. This engine is paired with an eight-speed dual clutch automatic transmission that drives the rear wheels. As per the claims of Maserati, the supercar accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in just 2.8 seconds and reaches the top speed of 324 kmph. Four drive modes are available – Corsa, Sport, GT, and Wet.
Maserati GT2 Stradale: Design and Aerodynamics
GT2 Stradale has continued with the aggressive styling of the racing model; however, it lacks the eye-catching racing graphics. The front bumper is also designed in such a way that it enhances air flow and cooling of the engine, while the vents mounted on the C-pillar are distinguishing features from the other model. Reducing weight and aerodynamics have also been considered by Maserati during the designing of the GT2 Stradale. Since several carbon fibre materials have been used in the production of the GT2 Stradale, this car weighs about 60kg less than MC20. Aerodynamics of GT2 Stradale include racing diffuser, carbon fibre body parts, and a big rear wing with three adjustable positions.
Maserati GT2 Stradale: Interior and Features
The interior of the GT2 Stradale is similar to that of the Maserati MC20 when it comes to the dashboard design. It includes a rectangular infotainment screen and a digital instrument panel. There is Alcantara upholstery for the interior and optional carbon fibre racing seats, which come in two sizes and have four-point seat belts.
