Maruti may launch the new Front Facelift in 2026. It is expected to get major upgrades like Level 2 ADAS, new series hybrid technology and AWD system along with minor design changes. Top models may also come with sunroof and ventilated seats.
motherRuti Suzuki is testing her new front facelift. Pictures leaked during testing are indicating its soon launch. In the pictures that have surfaced recently, the prototype model of the car is seen in heavy camouflage (covered with cloth), due to which most of the design information is hidden. Nevertheless, it is expected that the new Maruti Front Facelift coming in 2026 will get mild changes in the front look. It may include a slightly redesigned grille, bumper and headlamps. It is possible that some parts of its design may be taken from the company’s mid-size SUV ‘Victoris’.
ADAS suit will be a big upgrade
Although the company has not said anything officially yet, it is expected that Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) will be provided in the new Maruti Front 2026 facelift. LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) unit was seen installed on the rear bumper of one of its old testing models. This technology measures distance using laser pulses and creates an accurate 3D model of the vehicle’s surroundings.
More new features
There is a possibility that Maruti may also offer features like ventilated seats and sunroof in the top models of the new Front. Additionally, new color and upholstery options can also be found in the interior of the car. Most of the remaining features will remain the same as the current model.
Hybrid variant of Maruti Front
There is no official confirmation regarding the hybrid powertrain in the new Front, but it is expected that the company’s own series hybrid technology will be given in the 2026 Front facelift. This hybrid system will include a petrol engine and electric motor, which will directly power the wheels. At the same time, the petrol motor will work like a generator to charge the battery pack.
Compared to the traditional strong hybrid system, this new hybrid technology of Maruti Suzuki can be more economical and give better mileage. The company can introduce its 1.2L Z12E naturally aspirated petrol engine with this technology. The same hybrid system can also be seen in other cars of the company in future. This series hybrid technology of Maruti can also be given in a new sub-4 meter MPV based on the new generation Baleno and Suzuki Spacia coming in 2027.
Will the Frankos get AWD?
There is also talk that AWD (all-wheel drive) system can also be found in the new Maruti Front 2026 facelift. This is because during testing, one model was seen having some additional hardware installed on the rear axle, which could be an indication of an AWD system.
