Manav Suthar County Championship: India’s young and promising spinner Manav Suthar, who created a stir with his magical bowling in his very first Test match against Afghanistan, is now ready to spread his magic on the pitches of England. This 23-year-old left-arm spinner has been signed by England’s famous county club ‘Warwickshire’ on a short-term contract for two matches of the County Championship. This is the first time that Manav Suthar will play in county cricket.
Got reward for strong performance in debut match
Recently, in the only test match played in New Chandigarh, Manav Suthar made a dream international debut. He took 6 wickets for just 33 runs in the first innings of the match and took 1 wicket in the second innings, taking a total of 7 wickets for 72 runs. Thanks to his brilliant performance, India registered a historic victory over Afghanistan by an innings and 300 runs. He immediately got the reward for this strong performance in the form of a contract for county cricket.
Even before stepping into international cricket, Manav Suthar had made a special identity for himself in domestic cricket. Before his Test debut, he bowled brilliantly and took 129 wickets in the 29 first-class matches he played. He is also a part of the Gujarat Titans team in the Indian Premier League. Expressing his happiness after joining the club, Manav Suthar said, ‘I am very excited to join Warwickshire for the next two County Championship matches. The team has made a very good start to this season, and I am hopeful that I will be able to make an important contribution to their title race.
Manav Suthar will play in these two matches
The Warwickshire team is currently progressing strongly in the race for the County Championship (Rothesay County Championship) title. Manav Suthar has been included in the team to further strengthen the team’s title claim. Manav Suthar can play these 2 matches against Yorkshire and Somerset. The match against Yorkshire is to be played in Scarborough from 12th June to 15th June. At the same time, there is going to be a clash with Somerset in Taunton.
