Mala Jap Benefits: Many times you see people chanting with different beads, but no attention is paid to what it could mean. Actually, chanting is not only the pronunciation of mantras but it is also a means of staying emotionally connected with God. Lord Krishna says in the Bhagavad Gita, patraam pushpam phalan toyam yo me bhaktya prayachhati, tadhaan bhaktyupahritmashnami prayatmanah which means that He gladly accepts even the leaves, flowers, fruits or water offered with devotion. According to Padma Purana, it is believed that by wearing Tulsi Mala around the neck for at least 108 days, one gets the results of Ashwamedha Yagya.
Kamalmani Mala (Lotus Seed Rosary)
Kamalmani Mala (rosary of lotus seeds) is most dear to Mahalakshmi. Chanting this destroys the enemy and removes visual defects. Along with this, negative energy also runs away. By wearing a garland of lotus beads one gets the blessings of Mahalakshmi.
