Mahindra Truck and Bus has launched the new Blazo i-TRK heavy commercial truck range in India. The company says the new lineup has been developed to improve profitability for transporters through better fuel efficiency, connected technology and enhanced after-sales support.
Powering the Blazo i-TRK is Mahindra’s 7.2-litre mPOWER diesel engine, which produces 320 HP and 1100 Nm of torque across the entire range. The truck also gets technologies such as the TurboMAXX turbocharger, OptiFuel air compressor and AI-powered iFuelSmart automatic drive mode, which adjusts engine performance according to driving conditions to improve fuel economy.
Mahindra claims the Blazo i-TRK offers up to 10 percent better fuel efficiency than before. According to the company, this could help customers earn up to Rs 15 lakh in additional profit over five years, depending on usage and operating conditions.
The new truck also introduces an industry-first 48-hour uptime guarantee. If an eligible vehicle is not returned to service within the promised time, Mahindra says customers will receive Rs 10,000 per day as compensation, subject to terms and conditions. The truck is also backed by a nationwide service network and parts availability programme.
For fleet operators, the Blazo i-TRK comes equipped with iMAXX 2.0, Mahindra’s latest connected vehicle platform. It offers features such as vehicle tracking, predictive diagnostics, driver behaviour monitoring, remote AC management, engine crank inhibit and fleet performance reports to help improve operational efficiency.
Mahindra has also focused on driver comfort by equipping the Blazo i-TRK with a suspended driver’s seat, cruise control, an air-conditioned cabin and a Bluetooth-enabled infotainment system with hands-free calling. These features are aimed at making long-distance driving more comfortable.
The truck can also be managed using the NOW 24×7 mobile application. Through the app, owners can book service appointments, request roadside assistance, track breakdown support, order spare parts and access vehicle service history.
Mahindra says the Blazo i-TRK follows its new INTELLICORE design philosophy and will be available in three exterior colours across multiple variants and applications.
With the Blazo i-TRK, Mahindra aims to strengthen its presence in the heavy commercial vehicle segment by offering improved fuel efficiency, connected technologies and a comprehensive after-sales support package.
