Mahindra has launched the new BE 6 Sporteq in India, introducing a refreshed version of its electric SUV with new variants, updated technology and additional customisation options. The new lineup also marks the introduction of the company’s Battery as a Service (BaaS) ownership model. Deliveries of the BE 6 Sporteq will begin from August 26, 2026.
The BE 6 Sporteq is offered in eight variants – ONE, TWO, THREE, THREE+, FOUR, FE, FE FOUR and Launch Edition. Customers can choose from 12 exterior colours, including four new shades: Rosso Impulso, Ruby Velvet, Graphite Storm and Firestorm Orange Satin.
One of the biggest additions is the Battery as a Service (BaaS) option. Under this model, the entry-level BE 6 Sporteq ONE is priced from Rs. 11.45 lakhs, while battery usage is charged separately at Rs. 3.75 per km. Buyers can also opt to purchase the vehicle with the battery included, with prices starting at Rs. 19.45 lakhs (both prices ex-showroom).
The cabin has also been updated with a new three-screen, coast-to-coast digital display, available from the TWO variant onwards. However, the BE 6 Sporteq Formula E Freedom Edition retains the original dual-screen dashboard and signature halo design.
Mahindra has also introduced six new TEQ Suites, powered by its MAIA artificial intelligence platform. These include TEQ_Talk, which uses Google Gemini for voice-based interactions, along with features focused on entertainment, driving, personalisation and security. The updated infotainment system now supports karaoke, in-car gaming, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and a Digital Car Key ecosystem compatible with Apple and Android devices.
The BE 6 Sporteq continues as a software-defined vehicle (SDV), allowing new features to be delivered via over-the-air updates. Mahindra has confirmed that several of the new software features will also be rolled out to existing BE 6, XEV 9e and XEV 9S owners in phases from January 2027, depending on the model and variant.
At the top of the range is the BE 6 Sporteq Launch Edition, which gets an exclusive Graphite Storm exterior finish and a Racing Tan leatherette interior.
Mahindra has also introduced the BE 6 Sporteq Formula E Freedom Edition, inspired by the company’s Formula E racing programme. It features exclusive styling elements, satin paint finishes, a black-and-orange interior theme and an Acceleration Boost mode, enabling a claimed 0-100 km/hr sprint in 6.44 seconds.
Bookings are now open, while deliveries across the country will commence from August 26, 2026.
