Mahindra’s new electric SUV BE 07 will be launched soon, which will compete with Tata Harrier EV. It can get high-tech features like ADAS and a range of up to 450 km. It will come in RWD and AWD options.
mHindra is continuously expanding its lineup of electric SUVs. The company is now going to bring a new electric SUV, which may be named BE 07. It will give direct competition to the Tata Harrier EV already present in the market. The company had shown the concept of BE 07 in August 2022 and now its production variant may hit the market soon. However, Mahindra has not yet given any information about its official launch date. Let us know what special features the company can provide in this new SUV.
How will the design be?
According to the leaked pictures, the design of the new BE 07 will be largely similar to its concept model. The SUV features steep windscreens at the front and rear, a thick C-pillar, and muscular, square wheel arches. Flush door handles, large aero-dynamic design wheels, front bumper with air inlet for cooling and side steps are also seen in the test model. It is possible that some design elements of the concept may be slightly changed in the production model.
Premium Interior and Features
Talking about the interior, it is expected that BE 07 will get many features like the company’s new electric SUVs, XEV 9e and XEV 9S. Reports suggest that a triple-screen setup can be given in it. Apart from this, features like wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car technology, premium audio system, panoramic sunroof, wireless charger, ventilated front seats and dual-zone climate control are also expected. According to reports, this SUV could be quite high-tech with features like Augmented Reality Head-up Display (AR HUD), air purifier, 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring system and Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS).
Will get a range of up to 450 kilometers
The company has not yet given any official information about the powertrain of BE 07, but reports suggest that battery pack options ranging from 60kWh to 80kWh can be found in BE 07. Once fully charged, this electric SUV will give a driving range of about 450 kilometers. Mahindra is expected to launch this SUV in both rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) options. The RWD variant will generate around 231 bhp to 286 bhp of power from the electric motor, while the AWD model can generate 340 bhp to 394 bhp of power from the two motors.
Who will compete?
In terms of size also, BE 07 will be a very big SUV. Based on the concept model, it is expected to measure 4,565 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width and 1,660 mm in height. Its wheelbase can be 2,775 mm, which will provide plenty of space inside the cabin. When launched, the Mahindra BE 07 will compete with electric SUVs like the VinFast VF7 and Tata Harrier EV.
