Sandeep Reddy Vanga is currently directing Prabhas in “Spirit,” a crime drama that is presently in production. Even as the shooting is underway, speculation has been growing that Vanga could team up with Mahesh Babu for a future project.
Adding fuel to the speculation, Vanga shared an AI-generated video wishing Mahesh Babu on his birthday. The video uses Mahesh Babu’s face in place of his father, Superstar Krishna, in a scene from Kirayi Kotigadu, the 1983 film.
The original dialogue, “Peru Kotigadu,” has been retained, while Mahesh Babu’s AI-generated face is superimposed onto Krishna’s character, creating a fun throwback video.
Mahesh Babu responded to Vanga’s birthday wish with love and laughing emojis, writing, “Hahaha… Thank you so much Sandeep. All the love to you.” Vanga replied, “I love the posture and dialogue.”
The playful exchange between the two has further intensified the already existing speculation about their possible collaboration. Fans are now wondering whether the Mahesh Babu-Sandeep Reddy Vanga combination could actually happen.
The speculation is that Vanga could potentially team up with Mahesh Babu after the actor wraps up SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi, while Vanga would first have to complete Spirit. However, there is another major project in the filmmaker’s lineup: Animal Park, his proposed sequel to Animal starring Ranbir Kapoor.
For a Mahesh Babu-Vanga collaboration to materialise in the near future, the filmmaker would have to work out the scheduling around Animal Park as well.
For now, there is no official confirmation of a Mahesh Babu-Sandeep Reddy Vanga film. But the viral AI video and their social media exchange have certainly given fans another reason to speculate.
