The excitement regarding the upcoming assembly elections in Maharashtra has intensified. All the political parties are busy preparing for the elections. Meanwhile, the statement of Shiv Sena MLA Sadanand Saravankar, who is contesting from Mumbai’s Mahim assembly seat, has come to light. He has said that he will contest elections from Mahim seat under any circumstances.
Sarvankar says that despite BJP supporting Amit Thackeray, son of MNS chief Raj Thackeray and candidate from Mahim seat, he will not step down from the election field. The question of withdrawing from the electoral contest does not arise. Saravankar said that he will contest elections from Mahim assembly seat under any circumstances.
BJP in support of MNS candidate
In fact, Shiv Sena sources say that BJP is in favor of supporting MNS candidate Amit Thackeray, who is contesting the elections for the first time. Earlier, Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis had also said that BJP wants to support Amit Thackeray on Mahim assembly seat.
MNS is not a part of the grand alliance in Maharashtra, but Raj Thackeray’s party supported the ruling alliance during the Lok Sabha elections. Sources say that Shiv Sena has not fielded its candidate from Shivdi seat of Mumbai, due to which there is going to be a direct contest between Shiv Sena (UBT) Ajay Choudhary and MNS candidate Bala Nandgaonkar. It is believed that in a way, MNS Will get help.
Saravankar is the candidate from Mahim seat
At the same time, BJP has announced its support to MNS candidate Amit from Mahim Assembly seat, who is contesting against Sadanand Saravankar and Mahesh Sawant of opposition Shiv Sena (UBT). Sarvankar has made it clear that he will not back down from this election contest even if BJP supports Amit Thackeray.
Sanjay Raut’s taunt on Raj Thackeray
Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has sarcastically said that Raj Thackeray is praising BJP because he is worried about his son Amit Thackeray in the election contest. He said that his son is contesting elections, hence his mental condition can be understood. Raut says that the leader (Raj Thackeray) earlier used to say that he would not allow Home Minister Amit Shah and PM Narendra Modi to come to Maharashtra, now he has started praising them.
Talking about elections, voting for the 288-member assembly will be held on November 20 and counting of votes will take place on November 23. The last date for withdrawal of nomination in Maharashtra is November 4. There is going to be a contest between Mahavikas Aghadi and Mahayuti in the state.
