Maharashtra: From CM to Ministry…Amit Shah agreed on these things in the meeting

There is still suspense regarding who will be the next Chief Minister of Maharashtra. However, it is certain that the Chief Minister will be from BJP. A meeting of Mahayuti leaders was held at the house of Home Minister Amit Shah till late last night. In the meeting that lasted for more than 2 hours, there was discussion regarding government formation in Maharashtra. In the meeting, both the allies gave their consent that BJP should become the Chief Minister. Both the parties have no objection to BJP becoming the Chief Minister.

According to sources, some important portfolios were also discussed during the meeting. Home Ministry, Finance Ministry, Revenue Ministry and Personnel will remain with BJP. Important ministries like Urban Development Ministry and PWD will go to Shiv Sena. NCP can be given the ministries of agriculture, irrigation, food supplies and medical and technical education.

Discussion on preparations for the grand swearing-in program

According to sources, the top BJP leadership has appealed to Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar to become Deputy Chief Ministers in the new Maharashtra government. BJP will call a meeting of its legislative party and elect its leader in the next 2 days. Preparations for the grand swearing-in program have been discussed.

According to sources, in the meeting of about 2 hours, the first meeting of about 25 minutes was held between Eknath Shinde, Amit Shah and JP Nadda. Later Ajit Pawar and Devendra Fadnavis arrived, where a meeting was held between Shinde, Pawar, Fadnavis, Sunil Tatkare, Home Minister and BJP President. In the meeting with Shinde, maintaining confidence among Maratha voters was also discussed.

What did Shinde and Fadnavis say?

Eknath Shinde described the meeting with Amit Shah and JP Nadda as good and positive. He says that this was the first meeting. Discussions have been held with Amit Shah and JP Nadda. There will be another meeting of Mahayuti in which it is expected to decide who will take over the role of Chief Minister. The meeting will be held in Mumbai. However, earlier Shinde had made it clear that there is no problem regarding the post of Chief Minister and for him “Laadla Bhai” is a post which has more importance than any other post.

Devendra Fadnavis expressed gratitude to Union Home Minister Amit Shah for his support during the assembly elections. Sharing a post on Twitter, Fadnavis credited Shah for motivating and encouraging party workers during the elections. He wrote, ‘Expressed Union Minister Amit Shah for his huge support in the electoral arena during the important Maharashtra Assembly elections 2024 and the way he motivated the workers. On this occasion, our BJP National President JP Nadda, Eknath Shinde, Ajitdada Pawar, Mahayuti leaders and allies were also present in New Delhi.

BJP has won 132 seats in Maharashtra elections.

Maharashtra assembly election results are out on Friday, the seventh day. The results were declared on 23 November, but till now no decision has been taken on who will be the Chief Minister. The ruling BJP-led Mahayuti alliance has not yet finalized its name for the chief minister. In the 280-member Maharashtra Assembly, BJP has emerged as the largest party with 132 seats, while its allies Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar-led NCP have won 57 and 41 seats respectively.
