Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has met Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat. The two met on Wednesday after the votes were cast for the assembly elections. This meeting took place at the Sangh headquarters in Nagpur. Fadnavis and Mohan Bhagwat were in Nagpur for voting. After voting, there was a discussion between the two regarding the elections.
According to news agency PTI, during this time Mohan Bhagwat and former general secretary Bhaiyyaji Joshi were present at the Sangh headquarters. Fadnavis stayed at the Sangh headquarters for about 15 to 20 minutes.
Earlier in the day, Fadnavis along with his family members cast his vote in West Nagpur. The results of the assembly elections will be declared on 23 November. Fadnavis is once again contesting from Nagpur South-West Assembly constituency. Before the assembly elections, the RSS had conducted extensive campaigning in the state to generate public opinion in favor of the BJP-led alliance.
RSS played an important role
In this assembly elections, RSS played an important role in the campaign of BJP. Fadnavis’s meeting with Bhagwat is being seen as a courtesy call to express gratitude to the RSS. In the last few elections, the RSS had limited itself to appealing to the people to use their vote as responsible citizens.
