Maharashtra: ‘CM’s face not decided even after 4 days of results’, Nana Patole takes a dig at Mahayuti alliance

The BJP led Mahayuti alliance has got an overwhelming majority in the Maharashtra Assembly elections. The ruling alliance has achieved a record majority by winning 230 out of 288 seats in the state. At the same time, the tussle continues in the alliance regarding the CM face. Regarding this, a round of meetings has started between BJP, Shiv Sena (Shinde) and NCP (Ajit). Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Maharashtra Congress state president Nana Patole took a dig at the Chief Minister’s face not being decided.

Congress State President Nana Patole took a dig at the Mahayuti alliance and said that even after 4 days of the election results, the face of the Chief Minister has not been decided in Maharashtra. He said that BJP wants a Chief Minister who can sign files with his eyes closed. Congress state president said this in the party’s press conference. Many senior leaders of Maharashtra Congress and newly elected MLAs were also present in it.

Elections should be conducted on ballot paper – Nana Patole

Maharashtra Congress State President Nana Patole said that the people of the state are waiting for the name of the new CM. But even after four days of the results, the CM face has not been decided. He said that it seems that his friend’s order has not arrived yet. Until the friend’s order comes, no decision will be taken on the CM. They want a CM who will sign with his eyes closed. He has also raised questions on the election results.

He said that the people of Maharashtra are asking that when we did not vote, then how did the government come? During this time, the Congress leader has insisted on holding elections on ballot paper. Nana Patole said that he will campaign regarding ballot paper in Maharashtra in the next 2 days. He said that a campaign will be launched in the entire state to conduct elections on ballot paper. Maharashtra Congress State President says that the public sentiment is that elections should be conducted on ballot paper.

Rahul Gandhi will lead the movement

Maharashtra Congress State President Nana Patole said that campaigns regarding ballot paper will be run at the state level as well as the central level. This movement will be held at the central level under the leadership of Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi. He said that EVM is not an issue for us. In democracy the people are bigger. Congress will fight to save democracy. He says that the Supreme Court’s decision on EVM is political.
