A clash broke out between two communities in Mehkar town of Buldhana district of Maharashtra on Sunday. There was a lot of commotion during this time. This incident came to light on November 24 after the results of the assembly elections held in the state on November 23, where the clash between two communities took a serious turn. The mob set six cars on fire. Due to this, the police had to use force to disperse the crowd.
Vehicles were set on fire in Mali Peth area of Mehkar and some other areas on Sunday night. During this period, incidents of fighting also took place. Both groups pelted stones at each other. After this, the police have increased security in these areas and curfew has been imposed. All the borders of Mehkar city have been closed. Police have so far arrested 23 accused in this case. He is being interrogated and other rioters are also being searched.

Due to this uproar in Mehkar, the market is also closed. Sub-divisional officer Ravindra Jogi has ordered curfew. Therefore, curfew has been imposed in the entire city from Sunday night. The police have appealed to the people not to believe any kind of rumour. The video of the arson that took place during this uproar has gone viral on social media.
