The saints of Shripanch Dashnam Juna Akhara, the largest among the thirteen Akharas of Sanatan Dharma, entered the city of Kumbh city Prayagraj on Sunday. More than a thousand saints riding on elephants, horses, palanquins and chariots marched from Ramapur in Jhunsi with musical instruments and reached Shrimauj Giri Ashram situated on the banks of Yamuna. This saint will stay in this ashram for a month and will celebrate Kalindi Utsav for a month. During this time, after allotment of space for Juna Akhara by the fair management, entry into the Kumbh Mela area will be organised.
This information was given by the International President of Juna Akhara, Shri Mahant Prem Giri Maharaj. He told that about one thousand saints and saints from different provinces belonging to Juna Akhara have come to this city entry. All these saints will stay in Shrimauj Giri Ashram till Saint Dattatreya Jayanti and will celebrate Kalindi Utsav. Along with Juna Akhara, saints of Kinnar Akhara also entered the city. These included Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Lakshmi Narayan, Mahamandaleshwar Kaushalya Nand Giri and dozens of other saints.
Sadhus were given a grand welcome during their entry into the city.
On this occasion of their entry into the city, the saints were given a grand welcome by the police and administration officials and public representatives at various intersections. At some places the saints were welcomed with garlands and at some places flowers were showered on the way. In Kydganj, Mayor Ganesh Kesarwani welcomed the saints along with his supporters. According to the patron of Juna Akhara and General Secretary of All India Akhara Parishad, Shri Mahant Hari Giri Maharaj, all the saints will worship Yamuna Mata while staying in Shrimauj Giri Ashram till Dattatreya Jayanti. He told that on the day of Sharad Purnima, the saints of Juna Akhara had come to Ramapur.
Devotees will be able to see Amrit Kalash
There is a big news for the devotees arriving in Mahakumbh 2025. After this, devotees coming from India and abroad will also be able to see the Amrit Kalash in the fair. Allahabad Museum has prepared a replica of the scene of ‘drop of nectar dripping from the urn’ during Mahakumbh. According to Dr. Rajesh Mishra, Deputy Curator of the Museum, it is being developed as a selfie point for the devotees during Kumbh. The museum is going to organize the exhibition on 12 thousand square feet of land. 90 years of revolution will be depicted in it.
Dress code will be implemented in the fair area
This time in Mahakumbh, a special dress code is being issued for everyone from sailors to drivers and from guides to shopkeepers. The fair administration has prescribed track suits for all of them. With this dress code it will be easy to identify them. Not only this, tourists will also be able to avail services easily by seeing their dress code. He told that everyone’s track suit will have the logo of Kumbh and Tourism Department.
