Ujjain Mahakal Ride: Every year in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, the ride of Lord Mahakaleshwar is taken out in the month of Sawan and Bhadau. This time the temple management committee has decided different themes for all the rides so that the devotees can get a new experience every Monday. Tribal dance troupes coming from different districts will perform in all the rides. A glimpse of Simhastha-2028 will be seen in the last ride. According to tradition, every year on every Monday of the month of Sawan and on the first 2 Mondays of the month of Bhadau, the ride of Lord Mahakaleshwar is taken out in Ujjain. The second ride of Bhadau is called Rajsi Ride. This time in the month of Sawan, there will be 4 rides of Baba Mahakal and 2 rides of Bhadau. Their dates are as follows-
First ride- 3rd August
Second ride- 10th August
Third ride- 17th August
Fourth ride- 24th August
Fifth Ride- 31st August
Sixth Ride – 7 September (Majestic Ride)

theme of mahakal ride 2026
First ride- The theme of the first ride of Baba Mahakal will be based on Vedic teachings. A glimpse of ancient Ujjiani will be seen in it.
Second ride- The theme of the second ride will be based on folk dances. In this, folk artists from different districts of the state will perform.
Third ride- This will be based on the performance of the security forces. In this, police, army, home guards, schools and private bands will showcase their art.
Fourth ride- The theme of the last ride of Sawan month will be based on environment. The message of environmental protection will be seen in this.
Fifth ride- The fifth ride of Baba Mahakal will be very special. In this ride, tableau of 84 Mahadev situated in Ujjain will be shown.
Sixth ride- The theme of the last ride of Baba Mahakal will be based on Simhastha 2028. Glimpses and tableaux of Simhastha will be shown in this ride. Besides, flowers will also be showered by drones.
