Who was King Shalya of Pandavas?

According to Mahabharata, King Pandu had 2 wives – Kunti and Madri. Nakul and Sahadev were the children of Madri. Shalya was the king of Madra country and he was the brother of Madri. Thus the king became known as the maternal uncle of all the Pandavas along with Shalya, Nakul and Sahadev.
