The captured elephant itself had killed two people and badly injured another person. The forest department officials caught the elephant in a state of frenzy. Forest Department officials had already expressed apprehension that the deaths of people in the area were due to three elephants. While talking to the media, Deputy Director Prakash Verma said that after keeping an eye on him for a long time, he caught the elephant which had attacked the people. One of the captured elephants has reached adulthood. The elephant is not among the three remaining elephants of the herd, which lost 10 of its members this week.
